No Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro for the US market

Huawei fans still located in the US are now facing the dawn of a dark age. Leaving the past aside, there is one major problem for Huawei in the US: the fears that the brand's devices are spying on their users on China's behalf has led to an unofficial nationwide ban. This means that those who really want a Huawei Mate 20 or a Mate 20 Pro can import it from Europe or Asia, but this comes with a lot of cons.

A Huawei spokesman who talked to Business Insider earlier today made it all quite clear: "We are not planning to sell the Mate 20 Series in the US. While international variants of the Mate 20 Series may be available on some US online retail sites, we encourage individuals to carefully read the details about the warranty and network compatibility before purchasing."

On the bright side, at least Huawei is planning to bring the Watch GT smartwatch to the US. Unfortunately, the price and date of arrival are both yet to be revealed.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is supposed to take on the iPhone XS Max, the Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Without any official presence in the US, the Mate 20 Pro makes it much easier for them. However, the Chinese brand has recently topped Apple and became the world's second smartphone maker, after Samsung. The future definitely looks interesting.
