Images leaked on a Chinese website show the upcoming Nokia 8 in all its glory replete with a dual-camera layout and flagship specifications.

News about HMD's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8, has been doing the rounds for quite some time now with a likely launch date at the end of this month. Now, new real-world pics of the phone have leaked on the Chinese website, VTech showing the handset in a gold/copper finish. The website also notes that the handset could be available in several other colors.

The leak reveals that the handset will sport a 5.3-inch display with a 1080x2048 resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The phone sports a 13MP dual-camera layout featuring Zeiss optics. VTech suggests that the pricing of the device could hover around the $500 mark making for a compelling purchase option.

HMD is leveraging on the brand loyalty of erstwhile Nokia and is manufacturing phones across the budget spectrum. The Nokia 8 would be the first flagship-class device under the Nokia brand post Microsoft's buy out of Nokia's Devices and Services division in late 2013. The Nokia 8 could perfectly complement the low-end Nokia 3 and the mid-range Nokia 6 to offer a compelling alternative for smartphone buyers in the midst of a bevy of smartphone choices.
