Google Nexus tablet might have just shown up on benchmark tests

Teaser
Raw information on the Nexus tablet has been leaked out.

The much awaited and anticipated Nexus tablet has come up with a result database. An important bit of information that cannot be seen was acquired from Rightware:

"os":  {

"android":  {

   "model":  "Nexus  7",

   "hardware":  "grouper",

   "manufacturer":  "asus",

   "device":  "grouper",

   "brand":  "google",

   "display":  "XXXXXX-userdebug  4.1  JRN51B  3XXXXX  dev-keys",

   "version_sdk":  "4.1",

   "board":  "grouper",

   "version_code":  "1"

}

}

Note: strings replaced with XXXXX were redacted by Android Police for privacy.

There are many things that can be pointed out from this piece of information like the device code name is grouper. This has been Google’s age old tradition to name Nexus (or official developer hardware) devices after fish. Earlier, the XOOM was also known as Wingray and Stingray based on the model type, the Nexus One was known as Mahi-Mahi while the G1 was known as trout. So the name grouper makes a lot of sense.

As we have the model named as Nexus 7, it could mean the 7 inch form factor. The resolution of the tablet is 768 x 1280 pixels. The GPU is powered by NVidia ULP GeForce and will come up with Nvidia Tegra 3, 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor.

It is also seen that the build number is JRN51B. J might stand for Jean Bean and the build can also be seen. The SDK versions are 4.1 as per the information. So we can make up as Jelly Bean will be Android 4.1. All this information cannot said to be cent percent correct  but will have to wait and watch out next month.

The JRN build which is listed as Jelly Bean is released only a few weeks ago with no specification of the OS version as Google usually assigns one officially. But it is there now. So all this may suggest that this news may be fake but to be sure about that we will have to wait till its release.
