More details about the DJI Mini 3 have leaked online. Surprisingly, DJI’s next drone may not be that much cheaper than the Mini 3 Pro, with evidence suggesting that as little as £40 could separate the pair. Additional specifications have emerged too, which offer an insight into the differences between the two Mini 3 series models.

Yesterday, @DealsDrone revealed more press renders of the DJI Mini 3, likely the company’s final drone release of the year. Subsequently, Konrad Iturbe and @DealsDrone have shared more Mini 3-related details, including even more press renders. The Mini 3 may not be that much cheaper than the Mini 3 Pro, though.

Specifically, Konrad Iturbe alleges that DJI will sell the standard ‘Mini 3’ package for £668, barely £40 cheaper than the Mini 3 Pro with the DJI RC-N1 remote controller. In other words, the Mini 3 will be significantly more expensive than the Mini 2 that DJI continues to sell. Despite this, DJI has eliminated several features from the Mini 3 Pro to distinguish the two models.

As expected, the Mini 3 Pro’s obstacle sensors have gone, which DJI included on the front and the rear of the drone. Additionally, the Mini 3 will offer the older OcuSync 2, not OcuSync 3, restricting the drone to a 10 km range. By contrast, the Mini 3 Pro has an 18 km range or 25 km with DJI’s Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. The Mini 3 is slated to achieve 38 minutes of battery on the standard Intelligent Flight Battery though, 8 minutes longer than the Mini 3 Pro.

While it remains to be seen whether the Mini 3 will be compatible with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, it will contain the same 4K and 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor as the Mini 3 Pro with vertical shooting. Incidentally, DJI will offer the Mini 3 with combo packages too, such as the Fly More Combo for approximately £827. Although DJI has not started teasing the Mini 3 yet, the appearance of press renders suggests that the company is close to doing so.
