Dell has been updating some of its country-specific online stores with refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 series laptops. The Dell Inspiron 15 7501 has attractive configuration options that include Intel Comet Lake SoCs and Nvidia GeForce GTX 16-series dGPUs. However, those hoping to find an AMD Ryzen 4000 APU in this particular laptop will be disappointed.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series laptops have been refreshed in certain country-specific stores, with the Dell Inspiron 15 7501 offering Intel Comet Lake chips and an optional Nvidia dGPU. The refreshed Inspiron laptop is now listed on country-specific sites such as the UK, Australia, Italy, Austria, etc. but is currently not listed on Dell’s pages for the US, India, etc.

The popular jack-of-all-trades Dell Inspiron 15 now features choices between the quad-core Comet Lake Intel Core i5-10300H and the not too shabby 6-core Intel Core i7-10750H (data based on configurations found on Dell UK). In the UK, buyers can stick with the Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU solution or plump for a dGPU that comes in the forms of either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. Options do vary considerably by country so make sure you check the appropriate site for your location thoroughly for configuration differences.

Continuing with the UK choices for the new Dell Inspiron 15 7501, shoppers can choose from a 256 GB, 512 GB, or even a 1 TB SSD, and there is an option to select either 8 GB RAM or a more future-proof 16 GB amount. UK prices for devices from the refreshed Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop series range from £829 (US$1,013) for the i5-10300H, 8 GB + 256 GB, iGPU-only variant to £1,299 (US$1,588) for the top-end model with the competitive i7-10750H, 16 GB + 1 TB, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti.

Dell has missed a trick not including an AMD Ryzen 4000 APU option with the refreshed Inspiron 15 7000 laptop series, although that option might arrive further on down the line. For instance, the US company is now offering some Inspiron 14 7000 2-in-1 SKUs with Ryzen 4000 chips (Ryzen 5 4500U or Ryzen 7 4700U), so if you really want Zen 2 power in your new Inspiron 15 laptop, it might be worth waiting a while to see if an AMD-based variant comes along.
