BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ gaming monitor lands in Europe with 48-inch OLED, 4K and 120 Hz panel
BenQ is now selling the MOBIUZ EX480UZ in Europe, having unveiled the gaming monitor alongside two other MOBIUZ models last summer. As it name suggests, the MOBIUZ EX480UZ has a 48-inch panel, which also makes it suitable as a TV if you have a streaming box like an NVIDIA Shield TV Pro (Amazon affiliate link). For reference, BenQ equips the MOBIUZ EX480UZ with a 2.1-channel speaker system consisting of twin 5 W drivers and a 10 W woofer. Alternatively, the monitor has a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external audio equipment; there is no Optical Audio connection, though.
According to BenQ, the OLED panel outputs at 4K with 450 nits typical peak brightness, 0.1 ms response times (GtG) and 98% P3 colour space coverage. Additionally, the monitor offers HDR10 compatibility, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 200 x 200 mm VESA wall mounts. Moreover, the MOBIUZ EX480UZ contains the following ports:
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.2 Type-A (downstream)
- 1x USB Type-B (upstream)
- 1x USB Type-C (90 W USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort Alt Mode)
The MOBIUZ EX480UZ retails for €1,799 in the Eurozone and £1,599.99 in the UK. Alternatively, BenQ has reduced the gaming monitor to US$1,499.99 in North America, a US$300 reduction from its original MSRP. Please see BenQ's website for more details.
