Acer S7 ultrabooks with WQHD IPS displays now available in the US
Acer introduced the Aspire S7 series on the US market back in late October 2012, but the S7 ultrabooks featuring impressive wide quad high-definition WQHD IPS displays became available more than a year later. Unfortunately, Acer launched the S7 with the 2,560X1,440 pixels display and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection back in December 2013 on the Japanese market but only now it arrives to the US.
Two Acer Aspire S7 ultrabooks with WQHD displays will be available later this week from various online and retail outlets, including Microsoft Stores, Microcenter, Amazon and Frys. These are their main technical specs:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4200U or Intel Core i7-4500U
- Memory/Storage: 8 GB RAM; 256 GB SSD
- Display: 13-inch WQHD IPS with 2,560X1,440 pixels and up to 178 degrees viewing angle
- Operating system: Windows 8.1
The Intel Core i5-powered model is labeled S7-392-6425 and has a base price of $1,499.99, while the more powerful setup above is known as S7-392-9439 and its price is $1,799.99.
