MIUI 12 will start reaching 23 devices from next month, Xiaomi has confirmed. The list features 17 Redmi smartphones, including the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 8 series. The POCO F2 Pro and Pocophone F1 have made the cut too.

Xiaomi has announced plans to upgrade 23 devices to MIUI 12 starting from next month. The list, which we have included below, is available to view on the Indonesian version of MIUI.com. Hence, the list and August start may only apply to devices enrolled on the Indonesian branch of MIUI. However, if Xiaomi plans to commence a wider rollout of MIUI 12 in Indonesia from August, we would expect that it will also do so in other regions like India.

Most of the devices that have made the cut are from Xiaomi's Redmi series. Xiaomi has even included devices like the Redmi 6, which it released running Android 8.1 Oreo over two years ago. Unsurprisingly, the Mi 10, Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro are also in line for MIUI 12 from next month, as is the Pocophone F1. The 23 devices are as follows:

  • Mi 10
  • Mi Note 10
  • Mi Note 10 Pro
  • Mi 8 Lite
  • POCO F2 Pro
  • Pocophone F1
  • Redmi Note 9
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi Note 8

  • Redmi 8A
  • Redmi 8A Pro
  • Redmi 7
  • Redmi 7A
  • Redmi 6A
  • Redmi 6
  • Redmi 6 Pro
  • Redmi S2

It is worth noting that Xiaomi caveats this list with several pieces of what it deems to be "important information. Firstly, Xiaomi's Super Wallpapers will only be available on the Mi 10 and POCO F2 Pro of those 23 devices. By contrast, the remaining 21 will support static wallpapers, instead. Additionally, floating windows will only be available on the following 12 devices:

  • Mi 10
  • Mi Note 10 Pro
  • Mi Note 10
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi Note 7
  • Mi 8 Lite
  • POCO F2 Pro
  • Pocophone F1
  • Redmi 7
  • Redmi Note 9
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro
  • Redmi 9

Xiaomi also states that it will be bringing animation icons to just the Mi 10POCO F2 ProPocophone F1 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Finally, new camera features will be supported by the 12 devices that will receive floating windows except for the POCO F2 Pro.
