Samsung's 15.6-inch convertible offers a compact case, very good battery life, and a very bright display with a brightness of up to 600 nits. Its touchscreen display (QLED, IPS, FHD) does not only support finger but also stylus input using the included S Pen.

Samsung’s Galaxy Book Flex is a slim and compact 15.6-inch convertible whose unique selling point is without a doubt its QLED touchscreen display. Not only does it get exceptionally bright (around 600 nits), it also covers the sRGB color space completely. Furthermore, in addition to finger input this touchscreen also supports stylus input via the included S Pen. Those who have used a Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone in the past will be familiar with this stylus.

The device is powered by a Core i7-1065G7 quad-core CPU, a GeForce MX250 GPU, and 16 GB of dual-channel RAM. RAM is not upgradeable. It is soldered onto the motherboard with no RAM slots anywhere to be found on the motherboard. In return, the NVMe SSD (512 GB) can be easily replaced with a larger model. Maintenance and upgrades are fairly straightforward and easy to perform.

Its battery should easily get this convertible through the day. It lasted for almost 12 hours in our Wi-Fi test. It is charged via the included USB-C power supply, which can be connected to each one of the three Type-C ports (2x Thunderbolt 3, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1). This means that you can use the two Thunderbolt 3 ports for other things, such as a docking station or an external GPU.

The multi-touch capable clickpad is not only a pointing device but also a wireless charger for Qi-enabled smartphones. The charging feature referred to as “Wireless Power Share” can be turned on and off via FN+F11.
