The highly-awaited Redmi K30 Pro 5G is will reportedly be launched sometime in March. This information comes via to a Twitter user who managed to get his hands on some promotional material. The device is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, a 120Hz screen, and a 5,000mAh battery, among other things.

Ever since the Redmi K30 made its way to international markets as the Poco X2, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the Redmi K30 Pro. Its predecessor -the Redmi K20 Pro- received a mixed reaction, partially because of the Poco fact that the Poco F1 was available for a significantly lower price. With no Poco F2 in the pipeline, the Redmi K30 Pro 5G will make quite a splash on the Indian market. Fans of the device won't have to wait much longer, as it is expected to drop sometime in March.

Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, Tweeted what appears to be a promotional image announcing the Redmi K30 Pro 5G. The 5G part is a bit redundant, considering that the phone is expected to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, a chip that natively supports 5G. However, it is also possible that Redmi could do what Vivo did with the iQOO 3 and release two variants of the K30 Pro, one with 5G enabled and one LTE-only version. The latter could then retail at a slightly lower price.

The Tweet also mentions that Xiaomi is doing away with the hole-punch camera completely. There appears to be no notch on the screen either, so that leaves us with a motorized camera. Some of the other expected features include a 120Hz refresh rate panel, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a quad-camera setup.

Xiaomi will likely debut the Redmi K30 Pro 5G in China first, followed by India and other markets. It'll be interesting to see how the company prices the Redmi K30 Pro. Its predecessor received some flak for being 'overpriced,' so Redmi has to bear that in mind. The chances of it going for $500 price seems low, considering that it packs a Snapdragon 865.

The Redmi K30 Pro 5G has significantly more competition this time around from the likes of Realme and iQOOO. Both the Realme X50 Pro and iQOO 3 offer flagship-tier specs for a somewhat reasonable price.
