The Realme GT2 Pro is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered flagship phone set to launch early in January 2022. However, the OEM seems not to have been able to wait until this date to announce that the device has attained an A+ rating from DisplayMate. It has also disclosed some of the specs that have helped win this accolade.

Realme will launch the GT2 Pro internationally on January 4, 2022. However, it is gradually easing pressure off this event by teasing the "ultra-premium" phone with more and more of its specs as 2021 draws to an end. The latest stages in this hype-train campaign revolve around the flagship's display.

The OEM had essentially indicated that the GT2 Pro would come with 3 different choices of rear panel; however, it is most likely that all of them will share the same display. Not only is this panel now officially slated for a 2K resolution, it will have the cutting-edge LTPO 2.0 display spec also destined for the OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Realme has started to tout these new attributes officially, as it has also decided to reveal that the GT2 Pro will ship with a top DisplayMate rating ahead of the phone's debut. The OEM has also asserted that this panel, along with its top-end SoC, will handle gaming demands thanks to a heat-sink with a surface area of 36,761mm², alongside a vapor-chamber of 4129mm² in size.

Meanwhile, the leaker Digital Chat Station purports to contribute with claims that the OEM has integrated one of the industry's latest fingerprint sensors into the same display.

It is touted to support optical heart-rate sensing, rated to improve biometric authentication, and to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, as indeed is the rest of its screen. All in all, the GT2 Pro might be one of the most compelling early-2022 flagship Android smartphones around.
