Realme launches the Watch T1 alongside the Q3s and GT Neo2T

Realme has made its latest devices for the Chinese market official today (October 19, 2021). They include the GT Neo2T, which, as earlier leaks suggested, is the somewhat unapologetic MediaTek-powered version of the pre-existing Neo2. Realme has noted that, as this handset racked up about 100,000 orders on its first day of release, the least it could do was offer more choice in the same chassis.

Accordingly, the GT Neo2 and 2T have nearly the same specs - except for the Dimensity 1200 of the newer version. This SoC is the "AI" variant, which apparently confers its own special range of enhancements on various aspects of the new variant, particularly its triple cameras with their 64MP main sensor.

The Realme Q3s, on the other hand, is now confirmed as a Qualcomm-based device, pairing its Snapdragon 778G processor to 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage, 8/128GB or 8/256GB configurations. Its FHD+ 6.6-inch display does indeed have a 144Hz refresh rate, and also boasts VRR, 96% NTSC color-space coverage and HDR10 support...which, hopefully, will make up for its LCD nature.

This Q3s display will exhibit Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11, and will be kept on with a generous 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging. This new 144Hz mid-range 5G phone will start at 1,499 yuan (~US$235), whereas the GT Neo2T does so at 1,899 yuan (~$298) for an 8GB/128GB SKU. The rumored Li Ning-inspired special edition has not made an appearance, although the 2T is the first of the Neo2 line to launch with a white finish and without the Black Mint colorway.

These phones have been joined on stage by the Watch T1, an ostensible re-brand of the Watch S Pro with NFC. The two wearables have the same specs, although the former represents a debut for round Realme smartwatches in the Chinese market.

It also has new band options, which, almost inevitably, includes one to match the Neo2's aforementioned green-tinged finish. It now goes for 699 yuan (~$110) from the OEM's webstore, whereas its new potential companion smartphones will go to pre-order tomorrow (October 20, 2021).
