Performance
The average 7520U in our extensive database is in the same league as the Core i7-1185G7 , as far as multi-thread benchmark scores are concerned. This is a so-so result and indicative of a lower mid-range chip, as of Q3 2023.
Your mileage may vary depending on how high the CPU power limits are and how competent the cooling solution of your system is.
Mendocino series chips are produced on a relatively modern 6nm FinFET process at TSMC and should offer a good power efficiency. The R5 7520U is rated at 8-15 W TDP and therefore well suited for thin and light laptops.
Intel Core i5-13600K ► remove from comparison The Intel Core i5-13600K is a fast mid-range desktop processor of the Raptor Lake series. It includes a hybrid architecture for the CPU cores with combined 14 cores. Six fast Raptor Cove performance cores (P-cores) with HyperThreading and a clock speed of 3.5 - 5.1 GHz and eight Gracemont efficiency cores without HyperThreading and a clock speed of 2.6 - 3.9 GHz.
Thanks to the faster P-cores and more E-cores, the i5-13600K is significantly faster than the old i5-12600K (especially in multi-threaded workloads.
The 13600K is rated at 125 Watt TDP base power (PL1) and 181 Watt Turbo Power (PL2) and therefore slightly higher than the old Core i5-12600K .

Compared to the fastest Mendocino model the Ryzen 5 7520U , the 7320U offers lower clocked CPU cores (400 MHz base, and 200 MHz Turbo).
The integrated graphics adapter (Radeon 610M iGPU ) uses the modern RDNA 2 architecture, but only 2 CUs (128 shaders) and clocks with up to 1.9 GHz.
Performance
We have not tested a single system built around the 7320U, as of September 2023. Expect the chip to be about as fast as the Ryzen 3 3100 (four Zen 2 cores running up to 3.9 GHz).
