The AMD Phenom II X3 P840 is a tripple core processor for laptops that clocks with 1.9 GHz. It is based on the desktop Athlon II X3 processors (at a lower clock speed) and therefore features no level 3 cache. The low clock speed and missing level 3 cache leads to a rather slow performance, but enables the use in smaller laptops (14", 15") due to the TDP of 25 Watt. The performance should be on average between a 1.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo depending on how many cores are used.

The Phenom II P840 features an integrated DDR3 memory controller (on die).

It is based on the desktop Athlon II X3 processors (at a lower clock speed) and therefore features no level 3 cache. The low clock speed and missing level 3 cache leads to a rather slow performance, but enables the use in smaller laptops (14", 15") due to the TDP of 25 Watt. The performance should be on average between a 1.9 GHz and 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo depending on how many cores are used.

The Phenom II P860 features an integrated DDR3 memory controller (on die).
