AMD Phenom II X2 N620 vs AMD Phenom II X2 X640 BE vs AMD Phenom II X2 X620 BE

AMD Phenom II X2 N620

► remove from comparison

The AMD Phenom II Dual-Core Mobile N620 is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 2.8 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 240e - Regor).

The performance should be similar to a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Compared to current Intel Core-i processors, the Phenom II N620 is only as fast as an entry level Core i3-330M in synthetic benchmarks.

As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die.

AMD Phenom II X2 X640 BE

► remove from comparison

The AMD Phenom II X2 Dual-Core Mobile X640 BE (Black Edition) is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 3.2 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 260). The performance should be similar to a 2.9 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Due to the missing multiplicator lock, the X640BE is easy to overclock (if the BIOS supports it).

As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die. It is manufactured in 45nm SOI and specified with 45 Watt TDP.

AMD Phenom II X2 X620 BE

► remove from comparison

The AMD Phenom II X2 Dual-Core Mobile X620 BE (Black Edition) is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 3.1 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 255). The performance should be similar to a 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Due to the missing multiplicator lock, the X620BE is easy to overclock.

As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die. It is manufactured in 45nm SOI and specified with 45 Watt TDP.
