With the upcoming TRIO from MobilePixels, laptop users will soon be able to benefit from multi-screen setups, just like desktop users. Besides the obvious advantage offered in games, a dual or triple-screen setup can also improve productivity and multitasking. The TRIO module attaches via magnets on the back of the main laptop screen and only needs USB cables.

Many gamers prefer dual or triple-display setups as the increased resolution offers an expanded field of view that adds to the immersion. Thanks to MobilePixel, laptop users can now benefit from triple-display setups, as well, via the new TRIO add-on module. Of course, laptop users may already hook their laptops to multiple separate monitors, but these setups hardly offer any mobility. The new TRIO display add-on module offers excellent mobility, as it can easily be attached to the back of the main laptop screen using four magnets.

To keep things as light as possible, the TRIO modules come with either two 12.5-inch (for 13 / 14-inch laptops) or 14.5-inch (for 15 / 15.6-inch laptops) displays with 1080p resolution, which are compatible with Windows, Chrome OS, Mac OS, Android and Linux. Besides enabling a triple or dual-screen setup, the TRIO can also be used in portrait mode without being attached. While gamers may enjoy a larger field of view, the triple-display setup also helps improve productivity and multitasking. The TRIO module does not require any additional power or HDMI / DisplayPort cables, it just needs two USB ports and cables, which are included with the package.

MobilePixels is currently raising funds through Kickstarter in order to commercialize the TRIO. The 12.5-inch triple-screen setup can now be backed for US$369, while the 14-inch triple-screen setup can be backed for US$389, but there are options for only one additional screen, as well. Estimated time of delivery is set for January 2020.
