The View 20, a Honor device likely to be shipped with the Kirin 980, is to be launched at an event in Paris on January 20, 2019. This is according to a leaked teaser image GizChina claims to have found, in addition to internal Huawei code that may pertain to the device. This material also hints at a punch-hole selfie cam for the View 20.

The Honor View series - or Honor V series, as it is in some markets - is often an 'alternative' route to premium specs such as flagship Huawei processors. It has been well-received, even if it may also come with compromises such as full-HD screens rather than 4K. An upcoming addition to this line, the View 20/V20, was recently reported to arrive next year, along with another Honor quasi-premium device, the 11. However, a subsequent leak claims to have a specific date and location for the View 20's release: Paris, France on January 22.

This has been reported by the media outlet GizChina, which also claims to have internal product code with details that may pertain to the View 20. They include a display with a 2310x1080 resolution. It also hints at a novel aspect-ratio of 20 by 10, which may or may not optimize media consumption on the device. Unfortunately, it does not go on to describe any other hardware attributes of the purported View 20, such as the camera arrangement.

On this note, however, the promotional poster may have a tantalizing detail to share. It shows a front panel with an upper corner in which a circular pore-like object is outlined. This suggests that the View 20 will feature the punch-hole camera technology that is Huawei's answer to Samsung's Infinity-O display, and that is also apparently present in the Lenovo Z5s. Huawei themselves are said to debut this new notch alternative in the Nova 4, which is to be released 11 days from now. If this new leak is accurate, it could give a new meaning to the 'view' in View 20.
