NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 vs NVIDIA GeForce Go 6250 vs NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800

► remove from comparison NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 is lower clocked than the 6800 Ultra video card for notebooks (and also cooler). The number of pixel pipelines and vertex pipelines is the same like in 6800 Ultra.

Currently the performance of the 6800 is only compareable to a 8600M GT middle class graphics card.

The PureVideo technology delivers acceleration for H.264, WMV, and MPEG2 videos (also in HD) but has a bit less features than the PureVideo engine in the 8600M GT. > Comparison

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6250

► remove from comparison NVIDIA GeForce Go 6250

The NVIDIA GeForce Go 6250 is a low end laptop graphics card of the GeForce Go 6000 series. It is based on the 6200 and 6400 chip and offers a small amount of dedicated DDR graphics memory. Usually it is adverted with additional shared memory called TurboCache.

An advantage are the integrated PureVideo functions for decoding MPEG videos with the GPU (but not HD videos).

The performance of the 6250 is too weak for gamers. The power consumption should be relatively low, but not as low as integrated graphics cards offer.

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

► remove from comparison NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 / 6150 is the name of an integrated graphic of NVIDIA nForce Go 430 MCP for AMD Turion laptops. It does not have own integrated memory but uses the main memory (up tp 128 MB) like the direct competitor Intel GMA 950. Therefore, the gaming performance is mediocre and only suited for old games (but better than the integrated competitors from Intel and ATI / AMD).
