ASUS Transformer TF300T full specs leaked

Pictures of an ASUS TF300T tablet started circulating the Internet earlier this month and it was rumored that the device will make an appearance at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will take place in Barcelona from February 27^th to March 1^st.  The Polish site Tabletowo has obviously now obtained the slate’s specifications sheet and it seems that the TF300T might be a cheaper alternative to the company’s fairly successful Eee Pad Transformer Prime (TF201).

Reportedly, there will be several key differences between the two models. To begin with, the TF300T will pack a Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 3 central processing unit clocked at 1.2GHz (vs. the 1.3GHz Tegra 3 in the TF201) and will be equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS (vs. TF201’s 600nits Super IPS panel) display that has the same 1280-by-800 pixels native resolution.

Furthermore, ASUSTek’s alleged new model supposedly features 1GB DDR3 memory, 16GB of storage capacity (vs. Prime’s 32GB and 64GB versions) and an integrated 8MP rear camera without LED flash (the TF201 has the same built-in camera but with flash light).

The TF300T will reportedly be a bit thicker than the TF201 (9.9mm vs 8.3mm) and its battery will have a shorter autonomy period of 8.5 hours (Pad only) and 12.5 hours (Pad plus Docking) after a single charge (vs. 9.5 hours pad only and 18 hours pad and docking for the Prime).

Nevertheless, the authenticity of this information is a bit doubtful because according to the specs sheet ASUSTek’s upcoming TF700T will be powered by a 1.5GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm CPU which contradicts what the manufacturer told us at the 2012 CES back in January.
