iPad 3 price leak: to cost same as the iPad 2?

Teaser
Apple’s next iPads are expected to have the same prices as for the non-discounted iPad2 prices

Apple is just a couple of days away from a media event they have called for, which is expected to be the official launch of the iPad3 or the iPad HD. However nothing is confirmed about this device but rumors already have revealed most of the features of this device.

Now the same is also claimed by leaked information that iPad’s latest version is going to be identical to the price of the earlier model or the iPad2. Earlier it was rumored that the new device will be priced $70 to $80 more than the iPad2. According to Mark Gurman of 9to5mac’s, the price of various iterations of the next iPad will be similar to today’s non-discounted iPad2 tablets.

The next iPad will have six different versions, with Wi-Fi only tablets and enriched Data connectivity tablets as reported by price matrix. The tablet is also expected to arrive with three capacities of 16, 32 and 64GB.

And so according to the leak the prices of the new devices may fit as the Wi-Fi only tablet with 16GB memory will cost around $499, the 32GB will be about $599 and the 64GB will be about $699. While for the models with upgraded network services which will be connected with either AT&T or Verizon’s data services, the 16GB might be available for around $629 and the 32GB and 64GB may be priced around $729 and $829 respectively.

A new report from Digitimes has also suggested that a new 8GB variant of iPad2 will be available too and also is believed to be sold at a $50 discount at Best Buy
