Zepto of Denmark is best known for producing affordable high performance notebooks in the 15.4 and 14.1” form factors, especially the latter as few offer such gaming performance in such a small package. Following on from earlier models, specifically the 6214 with the Geforce go 7600, the 6224W jumps on the latest bandwagons of including Intel’s Santa Rosa processor platform and the latest Nvidia 8000 series graphics cards, famously compatible with DirectX 10. Choices are limited, it’s an 8600M GT or nothing, but few gamers will complain about this. As one 14" laptop to rule them all the Zepto 6224W has little competition. For the gamer wanting a reasonably portable machine it makes a lot of sense. It is majestically powerful and offers staggering performance in even the latest games. As a gaming machine has simply no competition in the same form factor.

Erneut bringt Zepto das weltweit erste 14,1" Gaminglaptop auf den Markt. Diesmal bringt Zepto die weltweit erste 512MB 8600M-GT Karte generell in einem Book auf dem Markt. Und erneut wurde ein schon gutes Produkt verbessert. Tja, was soll man dazu sagen: die einen werden es wieder lieben wie das 6x14W, andere werden es aufgrund des schlichten Optik wieder nicht mögen. Einig sind wir uns sicherlich alle: Die Leistung und Möglichkeiten in dem kleinen Monster sind enorm. Es ist dazu noch extrem Mobil und wird wiedereinmal Vorreiter für viele andere und teurere Books sein.

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT: The NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT is the DirectX 10 capable successor of the GeForce Go 7600 GT GPU for laptops. Depending on the used graphic memory and the clock speed,  the performance is between the 7600 GT and 7900 GS video card.

Just as the performance class 1 these cards are comparable with video cards for desktop computers with the same name. The newest games should run with some reduced details fluently (in moderate resolutions).

Intel Core 2 Duo: This is the Core Duo and Core Solo successor with a longer pipeline and 5-20% more speed without more power consumption. As an addition to the Core Duo design there exists a fourth decoder, an amplified SSE-unit and an additional arithmetical logical unit (ALU).

The Core 2 Duo for laptops is identical to the desktop Core 2 Duo processors but the notebook-processors work with lower voltages (0.95 to 1188 Volt) and a lower Frontside bus clock (1066 vs 667 MHz). The performance of equally clocked notebooks is 20-25% lower than Desktop PCs because of the lower Frontside bus clock and the slower hard disks.

14.1": 14 inch display size is a mixture between the small formats of subnotebooks and the 15 inch standard display.
The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much current and the laptops can be kept quite compact.

2.44 kg: This notebook is lighter than the average of all notebooks. It is too heavy for sub-notebooks. 14 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.

85.75%: This is a good rating above average. Nevertheless you should not forget, that 10-15% of all notebook-models get a better rating.
