Xperia C5 Ultra to feature bezel-less display

Given the very thin bezels, the handset will most likely be smaller than other devices with the same screen size.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, previously known under the Sony Lavender codename, has been the subject of quite a lot of rumors recently. The upcoming handset’s manual has just leaked online, revealing a number of C5 Ultra’s features. The most notable detail about the new phone is that it will be the first Sony smartphone to sport bezel-less design.

Other revealed features include the layout of the handset’s controls inlcuding the camera with LED flash and loudspeaker on the front. We also learned that the C5 Ultra will have a dedicated camera button and that volume buttons that can be used to control zoom. The Micro-SD card slot, together with nano-SIM card slot, will be placed on the side.

Specs-wise, we can expect a 5.5-inch device with FullHD display. Given the very thin bezels, the handset will most likely be smaller than other devices with the same screen size. The phone is going to be powered by MediaTek MT6752 SoC. Other specs include 2 GB of RAM, a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is expected to be launched in August. No pricing information has been revealed yet.
