Xiaomi has two handsets with a dual camera setup on the market, but none in India yet. However, this is going to change in September, when the first Xiaomi phone with this popular feature is scheduled to hit the local market.
India is an excellent market for Xiaomi since only Samsung managed to beat the Chinese brand there in the first quarter of 2017. However, the Mi 6 and Mi 5X, both powerful phones with a dual camera setup, are not present in the country yet. Fortunately, the first Xiaomi handset to offer this feature has been confirmed to arrive next month.
A message recently posted on Twitter by Xiaomi India's Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain, reads the following: "Can't wait for you guys to check out Xiaomi's first dual-camera phone in India! Coming next month! Can you guess which one?"
As mentioned earlier, there are only two candidates: Xiaomi Mi 5X and Xiaomi Mi 6. Since Xiaomi Mi 5 arrived in India last year less than a month after its release in China, it is more likely to see the Mi 5X launching in India next. The Mi 5X arrived in China a week ago, while the Mi 6 has been around since April.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
