Xiaomi's Black Shark 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes with up to 12GB of RAM. It was released earlier this month, albeit to the Chinese market only. Now, however, the OEM has released it for sale on its EU sales site.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is a gaming phone that has been updated with the Snapdragon 855 processor for this year. The OEM claims that its next-generation multi-layer cooling system, dedicated AI and "world's lowest-latency touch" gives it an edge in its particular niches. This device had been released in China on March 18, 2019.

Now, however, the Black Shark 2 is also available in Europe. It is sold via the eu.blackshark.com site that has been set up for this specific purpose. This site offers free shipping with the phone, and claims to deliver in 3 business days or less.

On the other hand, buying this phone through the European Black Shark website brings some slight compromises. The phone is listed in 8/128GB or the top-spec'd 12/256GB RAM/storage configurations, even though an 8/256GB model has also been produced. In addition, if you prefer the device's Shadow Black color option and would like it in 12GB flavor, you're out of luck: it is offered in Frozen Silver only.

Nevertheless, at €549 (about US$616) for the 8GB version, it is priced very reasonably for its specs in this region. Furthermore, for only €100 (~$112) more, the Black Shark 2 may be the most wallet-friendly 12GB flagship around. Finally, its newly expanded availability may by followed by more of the same in other regional markets in the future.
