Xiaomi has started selling the Redmi 15 in the UK after its debut last month (curr. $204.99 on Amazon). Not to be confused with the Redmi 15 5G, the Redmi 15 adopts broadly the same design but with a significantly weaker chipset than its 5G counterpart. As the one-pager below highlights, the Redmi 15 leverages a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset that we have tested in a few Xiaomi smartphones over the years.
For reference, the Snapdragon 685 falls a way short of the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 powering the Redmi 15 5G in our benchmarks. Regardless, the Redmi 15 contains a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 33 W wired charging. On top of that, the device leverages a 6.9-inch IPS display that outputs at 1080p with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 850 nits peak brightness and DC dimming support.
Despite appearances, Xiaomi only advertises the Redmi 15 as featuring a 50 MP primary camera complemented by an 8 MP front-facing sensor. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 15 will start at £159 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device will be available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for a £30 surcharge. The company has not indicated when the Redmi 15 will receive a full release though, nor can we find it on Xiaomi's UK website.
