Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition introduced with unique and limited design

Xiaomi may be on the verge of releasing the Xiaomi 13 series, but the company is still getting Xiaomi 12 series models out the door. Having announced the Xiaomi 12T series last month, Xiaomi has now teamed up with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham to create a limited edition version of the Xiaomi 12T Pro. Sold simply as the Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition, the handset has an unusual livery, which spans the device’s outer retail packaging and accessories.

The regular Xiaomi 12T Pro and the Daniel Arsham Edition are functionally identical, with the latter retaining the former’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, as well as its 200 MP primary camera and 120 W fast charging capabilities. However, the limited edition smartphone will only be available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, unlike the regular model. As Xiaomi’s marketing images highlight, the Daniel Arsham Edition has a turquoise colour scheme punctured by copper colour crystals that the artist believes creates a ‘sculpture with a purpose outside of it as a functional object’. Arsham adds that the back panel’s design was born out of the idea of ‘his sculptural propositions of obsolescence and natural erosions on a smartphone’.

Pre-orders will open on December 5 for the Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition, which you can grab from Mi.com and High Snobriety. At launch, the handset will sell for €899 and will be limited to 2,000 units. Additionally, Xiaomi and Daniel Arsham will open a pop-up store in Berlin between December 16 and December 17, where the limited edition Xiaomi 12T Pro will also be available.
