Teaser
Windows 8 will make the formatting and re-setting of the OS, the fastest and without a disc.

The PC owners always go through a performance problem which starts to deteriorate a couple of months after the PC has been setup. Then the users have no option but to spend a full day re-installing the Operating system and re-installing all the apps.

The so called “PC rot” was not much of a problem on the Windows 7 as the earlier versions of the Windows OS. The main problem with the sluggish performance of the computer turned out to be some hardware problem.

The new Windows platform will make the re-installing or refreshing of the OS easier and faster than ever. All the user need do is scroll down to the bottom of the “GENERAL” area in the Windows 8 setting and choose the appropriate option, and a fresh re-install of the Windows 8 will commence with all your files and data intact.

If things don’t work out the users, the “reset your PC and start over” option is sure to be of some help but this option will remove all the data on your computer and restore the factory settings.

Anyways, the process will a lot faster and convenient than the old fashioned Windows which needed a disc. This feature of re-install has already been offered by various PC makers on notebooks and desktops by setting aside the protected partitions on the hard drive with a system restore image.

For the Windows 8, it will be a quick reset of all the features alike the mobile phones.

The Microsoft windows chief Steve Sinofsky has written a well explanatory blog post on the how to of the process covering all the details.
