Model: Fun with clever features, the Wiko Birdy has a modern design with multiple colors to choose from. The mid-range and affordable smartphone comes in black, white, fuchsia, yellow, coral, violet, and bleen, which is a combination of blue and green. The front panel is black and contains the menu, home and back touch sensitive buttons while holding in the 4.5 inch IPS capacitive touch screen. Colors and sharpness are as expected with the pricing of the Wiko Birdy.
The rear cover holds in the camera and Wiko branding and it is comfortably curved at the edges for ergonomics. The 141 g device is extremely light weight, hence the name Birdy and users will be delighted to carry this smartphone all day long. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat phone is equipped with a Cortex-A7 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB RAM and a Mali-400MP2 GPU.
Users can add up to 32 GB to the internal storage of 4 GB with a microSD card. The Wiko Birdy comes with a 5 MP autofocus sensor with LED flash and is smartly designed to automatically capture portraits with the slightest hint of a smile. There is a secondary 2 MP front facing camera on the device. Powering the smartphone is a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery with a talk time rating of up to 18 hours.

Wiko SAS was founded as a French smartphone manufacturer in 2011. Since 2014, the Chinese technology group Tinno Mobile has owned a majority of Wiko. They produce in China. The company has already reached a considerable market share in the French market in early years and expanded to Europe and Africa later on. Nevertheless, the world market share is low.
Reviews are only available since 2014, that is since the first international expansion. Recently, the number of reviews has increased. The ratings are average (as of 2016).
71.67%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
