Wi-Fi AC700 receives official ship date, 3G pre-order option disappears
We have previously reported about the AC700’s shipping struggles and its delay to mid-July. Now it appears that the mid-July date has become more concrete and we now have an exact day to expect the Chromebooks.
According to Amazon.com’s pre-order page for the Wi-Fi AC700, the laptop will be shipping to customers on the 11th of July. In addition, the pre-order price of $350 is still the same as before, and users can book a Chromebook whenever they please.
On the other hand, the 3G version of the AC700 (previously available for pre-order at $430) no longer appears to be available. The pre-order page remains up, but the only option now is to sign up for notification once the laptop is available. The ship date is still listed as sometime in mid-August but without any set date.
