The carrier has pulled its version of the LG Watch Sport from its website, cancelling all pre-orders in the process. Verizon representatives have offered no explanation for the sudden move, but the company is offering refunds and a cash discount on the rest of its smartwatch stock to affected customers.

Talk about a bummer of an outcome. Verizon customers have been patiently waiting for their chance to get an LG Watch Sport, and now their wait has come to an unfortunate end. Instead of receiving a box at their doorstep with the aforementioned device inside, they are waking up to find an email in their inbox with the words "cancelled."

That's right; Verizon has cancelled its version of LG's smartwatch. According to Droid Life, the carrier flat out told them this was the case, but did not say why. Not only is the Watch Sport no longer available, but any trace of it has been completely wiped from the company's website. LG has followed suit and removed the Verizon edition of its smartwatch from its site as well, leaving only the AT&T model.

A cancelled pre-order is bad news for sure, but Verizon is trying to ease the pain with a $100 discount applicable towards the purchase of another smartwatch. This is, of course, in addition to offering refunds to affected customers.
