Verizon Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge pre-orders open April 1
While Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge less than a week ago, the two handsets should start to reach carriers around mid-April. The official global launch date announced by Samsung remains April 10. Verizon did not reveal its launch date for these smartphones but only announced the first day when customers will be able to place their pre-orders - the first day of April.
The company's Twitter message concerning this topic does not reveal much as it only says "Preorders for the Samsung #GalaxyS6 & S6 edge w/ Verizon 4G LTE & 5.1" Quad HD Super AMOLED display will begin on 4/1" and comes with a few images of the devices. Even more, none of these pictures shows signs of Verizon branding.
As noted by Droid Life editor Kellen Barranger, Verizon usually unleashes new devices after most major carriers as they seem to perform more demanding tests prior to launch that require more time. Now it looks like they might be able to launch the new Samsung handsets as part of the first wave, on April 10. Unfortunately, pricing, available bundles (if any) and other launch details are still unknown.
