MWC 2018 | Updated LG K8 and K10 handsets confirmed to arrive at MWC 2018
The first LG K8 arrived in April 2016, but it reached the US market via AT&T as the LG Phoenix 2. Its successor was unleashed one year later, and now we have an official confirmation of this year's LG K8. The original LG K10 was released in early 2016, and quite a few hardware configurations were available at launch. Just like its sibling, it received an updated version in 2017, and now we should get ready for three new variants: LG K10, LG K10 Plus, and LG K10 Alpha.
Without further ado, here are the specs and features of the upcoming LG K8 (2018) and of the three LG K10 variants mentioned above:
- LG K8: 1.3 GHz quad-core, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 32 GB, 5-inch 720p display, 5 MP front and 8 MP back camera, 2,500 mAh battery, available in black, blue, and gold
- LG K10: 1.5 GHz octa-core, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 2 TB, 5.3-inch 720p display, 5 MP or 8 MP front and 13 MP back camera, 3,000 mAh battery, available in black, blue, and gold
- LG K10 Plus: 1.5 GHz octa-core, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 2 TB, 5.3-inch 720p display, 5 MP or 8 MP front and 13 MP back camera, 3,000 mAh battery, available in blue and gold
- LG K10 Alpha: 1.5 GHz octa-core, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 2 TB, 5.3-inch 720p display, 5 MP front and 8 MP back camera, 3,000 mAh battery, available in black and gold
In addition to the above, we should also add that all these handsets run Android 7.1.2 Nougat and, unlike the LG K8, all the LG K10 variants feature NFC connectivity and a fingerprint reader. Since the firmware comes with LG's customizations, LG fans will be pleased to discover that older features like Flash Jump Shot, Time Helper, Quick Capture, or Quick Shutter are still present.
The updated LG K8 and LG K10 will roll out in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East soon. While the launch dates and pricing details are not available yet, both will be present at MWC 2018, where those interested can find them at LG's booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via between February 26 and March 1.
Until we all get to see their updated versions in action, you can take a look at the reviews of the 2017 variants below.
