Upcoming Sony H2 flagships to feature Snapdragon 810 processor
Sony is currently busy with the new premium flagships that are expected to pick off where the Z3+ and Z4 left. Sony Xperia Z5(H2 2015) has been in the rumor mill for a while, but the company did not confirm anything yet - not even its name. While the next-gen Xperia flagship is expected to be unveiled in September, new information about it (or another device that will accompany it) shows up online.
According to XPERIA Blog, "Sony Mobile is very likely to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset in its H2 2015 flagships." This source spotted this information in the user agent profiles for the Sony E66XX and Sony E58XX, which are supposed to be the upcoming Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact.
The profiles mentioned above confirm that both handsets will use the Snapdragon 810 SoC and the displays used will offer 1080p and 720p resolution. Both handsets are expected to ship loaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and that should be all for now. Since multiple reports claim that Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chips have heat issues, there is no doubt that Sony will use a revised version that no longer has such problems. We will keep you posted as more info leaks, so stay tuned.
