Reviews for the Toshiba Satellite T235D-S1340

80% Toshiba Satellite T235D (AMD)
Source: Laptop Mag English
In our review of the Intel-powered Toshiba Satellite T235-S1350 we called it the best value-priced ultraportable on the market today. The T235D has the same great looks, industry leading keyboard, and solid performance of the T235 for a little less coin, while offering better graphics performance. However, unless the price delta between the two configurations grows larger than $20 to $30, we recommend the Intel-powered T235 for its longer battery life, better wireless performance, and faster transfer speeds.

ATI Radeon HD 4225: Onboard graphics card (in the RS880M chipset) that is able to decode HD videos (thanks to the UVD2). Technically a slower clocked HD 4250.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

K325: Entry level processor with two cores, integrated DDR3 memory controller and a low clock rate designed for subnotebooks.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

13.3": This is a common display format for subnotebooks. Netbooks, UMPC and some subnotebooks have tinier displays. Nevertheless, the majority of standard laptops has a higher format. The advantage of a small display is, that the subnotebook can be small dimensioned and can be carried easily. Further the small display needs few energy, which improves the battery runtime and in consequence the mobility. The disadvantage is that the reading of texts is a bit exhausting for the eyes, especially with high resolutions.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

1.8 kg: These sub-notebooks weight less than the average of all notebooks, but represent a heavier class of weight among the sub-notebooks. 12 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.
