A lot of laptop for the money, with reasonable performance and solid build quality. It still isn't enough to trump the current A-List incumbent, though. Adverts for alarmingly cheap notebooks are everywhere these days. And while it isn't yet true that notebooks are now outselling desktops, some of the prices we're seeing show that it really is war out there. Toshiba's latest foray into the market, the Pro L20, is one of the cheapest we've seen. Coming in a variety of configurations, we found the lowest-specified model for just 392 exc VAT.

ATI Radeon Xpress 200M: ATI Radeon Xpress 200M is the shared memory integrated graphic card from ATI based on a X300 core. In general it is a bit faster than the Intel GMA 950 graphic core.
These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible.

Intel Pentium M: With Intel chip set (855 or 915) and Intel WLAN also available with the name Centrino (name for the package).
In the comparison very fast per megahertz and very modest with weaknesses in floating point operations.
It is also available as a low voltage version with very small current consumption.

15.10":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.2.7 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
Toshiba: Toshiba Corporation is a Japanese conglomerate or technology group. The company was established in 1939 and in 1978 Toshiba became the official company name. The company's products and services include power, industrial and social infrastructure systems, elevators and escalators, electronic components, semiconductors, hard drives, printers, batteries, lighting, logistics and information technology. Toshiba was one of the largest manufacturers of personal computers, consumer electronics, home appliances and medical equipment.
67%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
