It seems like carrier across the world are gearing up for the Chrome OS devices

Verizon planned to offer unlimited 3G data plan for Chrome OS even before the Acer Chromebook and Samsung series 5 came out, but now we have heard the European carriers getting keen as well. Engadget reports of three UK carriers that plan to support 3G data plan for Chrome OS related notebooks.

There are not many details available right now, apart from that the British users will get a free SIM card with 3 months of free data service with their new Chromebook. After that they will have an option of going on a different plan of 500MB daily for 3 pounds a day or 7GB a month for 25 pounds a month.

The Samsung Series 5 was unveiled during the recent Google I/O, but the Acer Chromebook was in development for long now, and these two companies are the ones that have confirmed their devices so far. There are other companies that have kept this in a concept phase right now.
