ThinkPad tablet coming August 23
The highly anticipated ThinkPad tablet is now official, but an exact release date has been a mystery until now.
According to Electronista, Lenovo silently updated its tablet product page to include the ship date of the upcoming ThinkPad tablet. Buyers should now expect the tablet to come knocking on their doors as soon as August 23rd.
The 10.1-inch ThinkPad tablet includes a 1280x800 resolution display, an Nvidia Tegra 2 core, Android 3.1 and up to a 64GB SSD. The unit starts at $479, which is $20 cheaper than what we expected. See our initial impressions of the tablet here.
Meanwhile, the 10.1-inch Lenovo IdeaPad K1 tablet is marketed more towards multimedia users and is available now.
