The Toshiba N550D Netbook has its own highs

Teaser
The N550D has some nifty touches that make this netbook unique

The Toshiba NB550D netbook is unique in the sense that it is one of the very first devices to be powered by AMD’s Fusion APU. Moreover, Toshiba is known to make rugged devices, and this one is no exception.

Talking in detail, the NB550D has a 1GHz C50 CPU, ATI Radeon 6250 graphics that is part of the APU, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a 10-inch, 1024 x 600 pixels display. Some other features that make the netbook interesting are a sleep n’ charge USB key, Harman/Kardon speakers that work with audio input by the line-in port even when the netbook is powered off and a unique design feature in the form of a lime green lid and mouse buttons. You also get the plastic keys that have been straight away taken off from the typical budget notebooks from Toshiba.

Although the product is not to be launched in the States any time soon, at a price equivalent to U.S. $449, the Toshiba netbook is sure a product worth applauding.
