The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 debuts on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 888 SoC and 8 GB of RAM
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has finally appeared on Geekbench, having leaked several times in the last few weeks. Geekbench does not refer to the device by name but by its model number, SM-F711U. However, this model number corresponds with the one that Samsung submitted to the FCC last month.
Unsurprisingly, Samsung has chosen a Snapdragon 888 SoC for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, shown on Geekbench as 'lahaina'. The listing also contains the identifier 'ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 1 part 3396 revision 0', which matches those of other Snapdragon 888-powered devices.
Geekbench shows that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has 8 GB of RAM, too. We imagine that the device will have at least 8 GB of RAM though, and would not be surprised if Samsung offered 12 GB as well.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 holds its own against its rivals. According to our database, the foldable is below average in both benchmarks, but not massively considering its size. Also, we are only looking at one result, so we would recommend holding fire on any judgements until the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is put through its paces later this year.
