Samsung has added a new camera mode to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. The company has called the mode 'Dual Recording', which is a stripped-back version of Director's View introduced with the Galaxy S21 series.

Samsung has brought Director's View to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series, albeit a pared-down version of it. The company introduced the feature in its May software update, which should be rolling out globally to S20 and Note 20 devices as an OTA.

According to SamMobile, Samsung has renamed Director's View on the S20 and Note 20 series, referred to as Dual Recording. The feature allows you to record videos using the front and rear cameras simultaneously, although only with the primary rear-facing camera. With Dual Recording enabled, one viewfinder floats on top of another. You can switch between these freely.

Oddly, Samsung makes no mention of adding Dual Recording to the S20 or Note 20 series in their respective changelogs. Instead, the company states that 'the performance of Camera has been improved', which is fairly non-descript.

The updates to look out for are G98xxXXU7DUDB on the S20 series and N98xxXXU2DUDA for the Note 20 series. Please note that Samsung replaces the lowercase 'xx' with the rest of your devices model number and its region in place of the upper case 'XX'.
