Samsung's "most anticipated monster", the Galaxy M52 5G, was slated to have launched by now in its target market of India. This event has now been pushed back; in the meantime, the OEM has revealed that it is to be the slimmest of its series to date and will have a premium mid-range processor.

Samsung had originally set the launch for its latest Galaxy M-series device for September 19, 2021. Well, that date has passed by now, and still no M52 5G. However, the OEM has confirmed that its debut is still on, just postponed until September 28.

Many Samsung fans in India may be glad to learn this, as the Galaxy M52 is thought to be the company's next 120Hz AMOLED display device. Samsung has not confirmed this; however, it has let it be known that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC.

As such, it will have 5G - covering 11 bands, as the OEM has also revealed. Samsung also now asserts that it has developed a custom design that allows it to have a thickness of 7.4mm, even with a 5,000mAh battery. Therefore, Samsung may have also inadvertently affirmed that it is something other than a simple Galaxy A-series rebrand, as usual.

On the other hand, it has a triple rear camera array looking much like those of this series. Samsung has dropped no hints as to its price, although there are rumors it may start at the ~US$450 mark.
