The No.1 V Phone I6 clone already available and in review
It may be barely one month old, but the iPhone 6 has already been dissected, reproduced and resold as the V Phone I6 smartphone. This Chinese clone features the same 4.7-inch screen size and even one ups the authentic model by including a microSD slot for support up to 64 GB. Its battery capacity is also listed as 1600 mAh, which is only slightly less than the integrated 1810 mAh battery of the iPhone 6 and should hopefully translate to similar runtimes.
Other features of the V Phone I6 include a quad-core 1.3 GHz MTK6582 SoC with Mali-400 MP2 GPU and a 1280 x 720 native resolution display, all of which are notable downgrades from the blazingly fast A8 SoC and higher quality 1334 x 750 screen of the Apple-made equivalent. 4G LTE support is absent as well and the iOS software has been replaced by a version of Android, though this is to expected from many Chinese phones. Nonetheless, many other notable hardware specifications are surprisingly similar to the iPhone 6 including the 1 GB RAM, metal frame, 7 mm thickness and IPS panel.
The V Phone I6 is now available starting at $150 at 1949deal.com and more technical specifications of the device can be found on their product page. Models come in black, white, and even in glamorous gold. Expect our full review in the coming weeks as we were able to snag ourselves a model to compare and contrast against the original Apple smartphones.
