The Meizu 17 series' specs may have leaked via Geekbench
The Meizu 17 is an upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone. According to a new benchmarking leak, it will also have 8GB of RAM, whereas its possible Pro variant may have 12. However, this does not explain why the former got better scores than the latter.
Meizu has let it be known that it is throwing its hat into the flagship smartphone ring in 2020 with the 17. The OEM has voluntarily leaked most of this phone's specs by way of hyping it. Now, Geekbench 5 may have nearly finished this process off prior to the new device's launch.
A "meizu meizu 17" has appeared on this database with 8GB of RAM and Android 10 as an OS. It also has a 1.8GHz Qualcomm processor called kona, which is often indicative of the Snapdragon 865 on this platform. Furthermore, a "meizu meizu 17 Pro" has also appeared on the same benchmarking site, with the same specs apart from its 12GB of RAM in place of 8.
Despite this detail, however, it is the first of these that is associated with the slightly higher scores in these tests. This may not mean much, although it does impugn the veracity of this new leak a little. In addition, this series is likely to have "5G" as part of their product names on its May 8, 2020 launch.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
