A Russian blog may have leaked more information on when Huawei's next line of flagships, the Mate 30s, will be released. This event will allegedly occur on September 30, 2019. Other news indicates that they will indeed run Android on their launch.

Huawei's next launch event is likely to unveil the Mate 30, along with its expected Pro and possible Lite variants. A Russian-language blog purports to have leaked the date of this reveal ahead of time. It asserts that the new phablets will be unveiled on September 2019.

Should this new leak prove accurate, it will indicate that Huawei is mixing its schedules up a little this year. These phablets are normally released nearer the end of the year: the Mate 20 line was introduced in October 2018, and its predecessors were launched about a year before that.

At any juncture, potential viewers may wonder if their prospective Mate 30 devices will be useful outside China, due to their maker's recent issues with Android licenses. However, these worries for the Huawei customers today and in the future may have been allayed already: devices from this OEM, as well as those from its alternate brand Honor, have just re-appeared on the Android Enterprise Recommended list.

This suggests that these phones, as well as their next generations, will have no problem accessing this OS' ecosystem or updates. Therefore, it remains to be seen if the new Mate line will indeed abandon the square-camera bandwagon, even as Apple and Google have reportedly only just jumped on it.
