The Archos 43 Android tablet is now shipping for $250

Archos 43 for $250 is now available and comes with lots of latest features

The wait is finally over! The Android powered Archos 43 tablet from Archos is now available. This is the news everybody wanted to hear but buyers are upset because of the said sticker price of $249.99 for a 16GB version and buyers need to shell out that much amount of money for the 16GB model because that is only model available at this moment. On the contrary, the guys from Archos previously said that the price tag for the model would be $199 but this price tag was only for the low-end 8GB model which is yet to make its debut.

There are lots of features included in the tablet for which it can be worth paying $250. Here is the list of features:

    * 4.3 inch, 480 x 854 pixel resistive touch-screen display

    * Google Android 2.2

    * 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU

    * Graphics accelerator with support for 3D OpenGL ES 2.0

    * Video codec support including 720p MPEG, H.264, and WMV, with optional MPEG-2 codec

    * FLAC, WMA, WAV, AAC, MP3, OGG Vorbis audio playback (optional AC3 plug-in)

    * 2MP camera with 720p HD video recording

    * USB 2.0 port with USB 2.0 Host support

    * HDMI output (cable sold separately)

    * 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi

    * Bluetooth 2.1

    * Speaker, Microphone.

    * Kick-stand

    * G-sensor

    * MicroSD card slot

The weight of the Archos 43 is around 4.6 ounces and the different life differs on its usage: 12 hours for surfing, 10 hours for video playback or 36 hours for music playback.

Archos is also planning to bring out another less pricey and smaller tablet named Archos 32 which is 3.2-inch tablet and comes with a comparatively slow processor, less storage memory, composite video output and a low-end battery just for $149.99.
