The 6-inch Motorola Corsair tablet also controls your home devices

Teaser
Motorola is set to release a device whose main function is still unclear, and its under testing in cable companies as it is related to cable boxes

Recently Motorola Mobility was talking about Android-based cable boxes and now they have come up with something they call as dedicated controller. They have not revealed much about the device now as it's still in the testing process with the cable companies.

From the package it appears more as a cross breed of a Tablet and phone and has a display of 6inch. The outer package also claims the device to be of Android 2.3 tablets. They have named the device as ‘Corvair’.

After looking at the images by theverge.com it also seems to be having Wi-Fi connectivity and the battery provided is of 4500mAH. Other than these detailed features the image on the pack also shows that both the screens one on the device and the other on the TV are same so theverge also suspects it to help watch and stream content in addition to serving as a remote control. In addition to that a hardware power and volume buttons can also be explained by this theory.

It is also equipped with an IR control and RF4CE, which is a ZigBee-based RF control protocol. Well now to know what this device is and how it actually works is really making me look forward for any more news related to it.
