The holiday sales for gadgets has started and tablets lead the number of sales with TV in the next slot

This year is really turning out to be a great year for the tablets. With some new revolutionary releases along with some stock clearance sales the tablet market has eventually distributed a large number of devices this year.

The recently released Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon has sold about a million units a week so far this month in a Christmas season and can also be called as they have dominated the holiday market. Apple the current dominator of the tablet market is believed to have sold more than 40 million tablet devices since it was released in the spring of 2010. Apart from Apple a lot of other tablets computers from other technology companies are also now home to the gadget market.

According to Ben Arnold, an industry analyst with the consumer market researchers NPD Group, tablets are huge, don’t see a ton of discounting for tablets and they still remain a premium product in some respect. This has led them to be huge gifts for this holiday season.

The Christmas of 2010 also had tablets as Apple’s iPad, but this time there is a lot of variety for the consumers to choose. There are even tablets with low price such as Kindle Fire and the Barnes & Noble’s Nook. Most of these new devices run on Google’s Android Platform.

A Best Buy manager said his store’s tablet sales have been evenly distributed among the iPad2 and other Android devices. He also said that the tablets are the biggest holiday item and they even don’t have to do anything but put them out.

This holiday season the next large selling device can be pointed to the TV
