TCL has unveiled its new range of QLED TVs for the Indian market. The C715, C815 series of smart TVs have 4K panels of varying sizes, while the X916 has only one 75-inch variant that is 8K-ready. Prices start at INR 45,990 ($602) for the 50-inch C715, and the X916 will set you back by INR 2,99,990 ($3930).

TCL has been a household name in the Indian smart TV market for quite some time now. It has effectively cemented its position in the market and is now focusing its efforts on the high-end segment. TCL teased its new range of QLED TVs last week. The company has now unveiled a slew of TVs for the Indian market, including its first-ever 8K-ready model.

TCL's C715, C815, and X915 series of smart TVs come in a variety of screen sizes and resolutions. The X915 is the proverbial king of the hill, as it is the only SKU that comes with a 75-inch 8K panel. The C815 series is 4K-ready and comes with a MEMC chip that allows it to deliver content at 120Hz. It also comes with an integrated Onkyo soundbar for high-quality audio. The C715 series is the most affordable of the lot, as it lacks the integrated soundbar and MEMC chip. You still get a 4K panel QLED panel, though.

TCL's new range of smart TV's are HDR 10+, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision certified. They run Android 9.0 Pie and support Google Assistant out of the box. Lastly, the X915 also comes with a pop-up camera that allows the TV to be used for video conferencing. The TVs will be available for purchase via retail channels and Amazon in the coming weeks.

The TCL X915 costs a whopping INR 2,99,990 ($3930), putting it beyond the reach of most consumers. If you're in the market for a 75-inch TV sans 8K support, the TCL C815 will set you back by only INR 1,49,990 ($1965). Its 65-inch and 55-inch variants cost INR 99,990 ($1310) and INR 69,990 ($917) respectively. Lastly, the price of the C715 series starts at INR 45,990 ($602), INR 55,990 ($733), and INR 79,990 ($1048), for the 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch model, respectively.

It'll be interesting to see how the highly price-sensitive Indian market will receive TCL's new range of smart TVs. They are remarkably cheaper than 4K-ready QLED TVs made by Samsung, Sony, and OnePlus, and will undoubtedly find some takers.
