Both these new products are built to interact with Sony's Android app Lifelog and will launch later this fall.

Sony SmartWatch 3 has been in the rumor mill for a while and last week it has been finally unveiled at IFA 2014 as expected, next to SmartBand Talk. Both are advertised as SmartWear products "which can be used in combination with compatible smartphones, tablets and dedicated applications to record users' daily life data via "Lifelog"."

According to the official press release, Sony's latest smartwatch is the first device "specifically designed for the latest Android Wear updates in close collaboration with Google." It packs a 1.6-inch TFT LCD Transflective display with 320X320 pixels, 4 GB of internal storage, GPS, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and Bluetooth connectivity. Sony SmartWatch 3 is IP68-certified for protection from water and has a stainless steel back.

Next to the smartwatch, Sony also announces SmartBand Talk, "a powerful lifelogger, built for users who live life to the fullest." This wearable is also IP68-certified, but features a curved 1.4-inch e-paper display and even packs a short call function. The built-in accelerometer and altimeter allow it to track the daily activity of its user.

Both wearables above sync with Lifelog via Bluetooth and NFC once connected to a Sony Entertainment Network account. Prices and detailed specs should be available at launch, later this fall.
