Das leichte, leise, gut verarbeitete und preiswerte Notebook kann Anwendern ohne grössere Leistungsanforderungen fast uneingeschränkt empfohlen werden. Besonders die guten Eingabegeräte stechen hervor. Negativ fällt nur die etwas eingeschränkte Schnittstellenausstattung (nur 2 USB Schnittstellen und kein S-Video Ausgang) und das spiegeln des Displays auf. Wer also auf einen Core Duo verzichten kann und hauptsächlich anspruchslose Anwendungen, wie Office oder Internet Surfen, betreiben möchte, sollte das Sony Vaio VGN FS485B in die Nähere Wahl ziehen.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 is an onboard integrated video chip and the most used graphics solution in 2005. It is classified in the weakest third of mobile graphics solutions. So it can only be used for elder games. For office applications and surfing it is without any doubt sufficient.

Intel Pentium M: Intel Pentium M is fast per Megahertz and very saving compared with other processors. He is very good with integer calculations, but is a bit weak with floating point calculations. 2005 he was the most frequently used mobile processor, because he is apt for all applications and for subnotebooks.

15.4": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks.  15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays.
The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much current and the laptops can be kept quite compact.
